CSI Red Flag Stream Monitoring

Our next sampling date is  March 14 at 9:00 am.  We meet at the new pedestrian bridge connecting Canal Landing Park to the Canal Towpath behind the Town Hall on Brooklea Drive in Fayetteville.

(weather permitting)

The Chapter began monitoring the stream chemistry of Limestone Creek in the Town of Manlius on November 23, 2013.  We are using the CSI (Community Science Institute) Red Flag protocols.  The chemical monitoring kit was obtained through a NY State Council Trout Unlimited Conservation Fund Grant of $225.

We will run chemical tests at three sites every month, and the results are verified by the CSI lab in Ithaca, NY.

The resulting data from our stream  monitoring activities will be recorded here: http://www.communityscience.org/database/monitoringsets/36
